We designed a baby monitor that works without WiFi, without cloud storage, and without collecting your baby's data. This policy explains how we handle the information you do share with us when you visit our website or purchase from us.
The short version: Your Nonnanest monitor communicates directly between camera and display over an encrypted FHSS signal. No data leaves your home. No video is stored in any cloud. No account is required. The information below covers only what happens when you interact with our website and store — not what happens on your monitor, because nothing happens there that we can see.
What we collect
When you visit our website: We collect standard analytics data such as pages visited, time on site, referring source, browser type, and approximate geographic region. We use this to understand how people find us and improve the experience. We do not use this data to build advertising profiles or sell it to third parties.
When you make a purchase: We collect the information needed to fulfill your order — your name, shipping address, email address, and payment information. Payment processing is handled by Shopify Payments and we do not store your credit card number on our servers.
When you contact us: If you email us at hello@nonnanest.com or hello@nonnanest.com, we retain your message and contact information to respond and improve our service.
When you subscribe to updates: If you sign up for our newsletter, we store your email address to send you product updates and content. You can unsubscribe at any time.
What we don't collect
This is the part we're most proud of. Your Nonnanest monitor operates on a closed FHSS (Frequency-Hopping Spread Spectrum) signal between the camera and the parent display. There is no WiFi connection, no internet connection, no cloud server, and no app. That means:
We never receive, store, or have access to video or audio from your nursery. We never receive, store, or have access to your baby's skin temperature readings. We never receive or store room temperature data from your home. There is no user account tied to your device and no data transmitted from your monitor to us or anyone else — ever.
How we use your information
The information we do collect from our website and store is used to fulfill and ship your orders, respond to support inquiries, send product updates you've opted into, improve our website and understand how people discover Nonnanest, and comply with legal and tax obligations.
Who we share it with
We share your information only with the service providers necessary to operate our business: our e-commerce platform (Shopify) for order processing, our shipping carrier(s) for delivery, our email service provider for newsletters, and our analytics provider for website performance data. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not share data with advertisers.
